its better now than before.... they lay you on a table and slide you into a tube head first. there is no room to move... then you hear bangs and clicks while they do the runs. a typical mri might be 12 runs, each might be for 15 min to 4 - 5 min.. they need to move the angles to get a 3d view... even on valium I moved a few times nothing to do with freaking out, just from pain in my shoulders. they had to start the run over.... if you are in pain or claustrophobic the tube really sucks
