That means that of the 35 available seats, democrats would have needed to take 29/35 (that's 82 fucking percent of the contested seats) in order to have a majority

Out of the 32 contested seats that have announced results, Republicans took a paltry 9 of them (that's 28%). They got absolutely demolished. Literally lost almost 3/4 of the contested seats, and you're making this thread acting like it was a major victory?
