I don't think it will matter.
The Democrats need a candidate who can energize the young voters and get the base to turn out. Half the base hates Hilary. They aren't going to suddenly like her because she sounds more like Bernie.
I'm not saying she couldn't win the nomination. She has enough supporters to get the nod, but I don't think she can beat Trump. Yes, we saw a lot of those middle class blue collar voters that voted for Trump vote Democrat in the midterms, but I don't know that they would also vote for Hilary.
If the choice was Hilary or Beto, I would say Beto would have a better chance of winning. Hilary is now coming off like someone who will say or do anything to get elected which isn't a good look.
