And it will continue to happen. The Earth will get warmer a few centuries, and then colder a few centuries.

The Renaissance actually occurred during a "warming period". Some historians credit the warming up of the Earth during that period for sparking it. The Earth came out of a several centuries little Ice Age and people of the midieval time period were starved and had very short life spans.
The Earth warmed up quickly that time. And crops grew and people lived longer and healthier lives. And "coincidentally" the Renaissance happened as healthier diets and longer lives with more time to do things other than scrounge for food in the frozen snow led to advances in science and the arts.

Anyway...trust me...you could remove all human beings from the Earth. And guess what? It will still warm up and cool down over and over and over again.

I first learned this in grammar school history. Paleontologists have proven it as scientific fact from decades and decades of studying fossils.
Geologists have proven it from studying the layers of the Earth.

But hey...believe what you want to.

I'm old enough to remember the fear mongering in the 1970's when scientists proclaimed we were heading for an Ice Age before the year 2000.
And then when they changed that to the oceans would rise and New York City and the entire Eastern Seaboard of the United States would be underwater by 1990.

Fool me once...shame on you. Fool me twice...shame on me. But people seem to be fooled several times now by these alarmists assertions that have no basis in fact.

None of it can be proven. And every couple of years they have to "revise" their predictions because the Earth is a dynamic force that doesn't sit still and follow their computer generated models of "global warming".
