The problem with the "economy" is the price many British citizens have to pay for it.
Record numbers on welfare, record numbers in poverty, record numbers with frozen wage packets, etc. Then the future where all Europe will be ruled by Brussels bureaucrats.
They have and continue to pass laws that suit no one properly and most certainly do not suit the UK. The Euro mess is a great indication of that. Creating a currency, having no central control on taxes, spending and borrowing and then giving it to anyone who asked. Greece, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Belgium all borrowed too much.
Now that one country has decided enough is enough. They set terms that mean the UK needs the EU's permission to become a completely self ruling country. Knowing a Hard Brexit will harm everyone in the EU. When you're that desperate to hold onto power and scare future countries from leaving. You know who is really scared. Would a free trade area be better then the EU?
