Everyone now has racists under their beds and white supremacists in their closets and Trump is trying to start a nuclear war. Clearly, the mid terms paint a VERY different picture of voter sentiment as do the daily poll numbers for Trump. People care about the same things today as they did in 2016. Economy. Immigration. Tax reform. Health Care etc etc etc etc and Democrats have nothing to say about what voters care about... just "Resist" and "impeach" and a constant chorus of "Orange Man Bad". Voters obvious aren't looking at the same political landscape people on this forum are.
None of this backs up anything you said about this being the worst performance in 60 years by the Dems. You know that was wrong so you are now deflecting.

Democrats ran on healthcare that works for all, tax cuts for the middle class, and reasonable immigration policies. All the polls show healthcare was the #1 thing on people's minds and you know that is true because even Trump started talking about protecting people with existing conditions in that last week leading up the election. Republicans ran on fear and hate and they were rejected. Middle class white voters that voted for Trump voted Democrat in the midterms. Don't believe me, look it up. Here's a good place to start. As the exit data comes in from the election we are seeing a lot of people who voted for Trump turning away from him in this midterm.

You can scream and yell about Democrats not having a platform and if that is what you believe, I can't change your mind. Think about this. If you are correct and the Democrats have no platform, a party with no platform that has just been screaming resist and flipping out about Trump just regained the house with the biggest flipping of seats by Democrats since the mid 1970's. What does that say about the Republicans?
