They are being sent home because they are not protecting anything.
Trump sent them there as a political game to get more votes for our midterms November 6th.
Now that Republicans lost most of the elections in the midterms Trump has no need for the troops at the border and they're being sent home.
I'd be happy if they were actually they're securing the border as well but that's not what's happening. The only thing they've done is lay down a bunch of barbed wire.
