While most of you are arguing for finding political fault,
The fact is that it is warming. And that pace is not linear.
And it's not the temperature you need to worry about directly, but what that means to climate pattern change.
I would put more energy into hedging the ramifications of my home and biz.
You need to 'un-think' that safe secure feeling you have enjoyed for the most part.
You are unlikely to even slow the progression in your lifetime.
The first folks to tell you it's all but over will be the insurance co's.
You simply will not be able to afford the rates. If you live in a area they will still insure.
The banks will not likely lend money unless it can be insured. So good luck building anything new that is not much more expensive from requirements of more hardened building codes.
When this is happening, are you going to be concerned with the cause ?
Start thinking on how you are going to deal with the results. No matter the cause.
The area I have made home is likely to be much hotter and colder in the respective seasons and precip rivaling a rain forest. I figure this is safe until many are forced to flee here. Perhaps I will be dead before that happens, but I'm ready. Good luck where you are.
