US Politics has largely turned into a bad episode of Jersey Shore where the new success is failing upwards. And you're right. We need a President that inspires. The motivates. That unites. The fosters hope. That has a vision for the future that everyone can buy into. And that can communicate without calling 1/2 the voting public who they are also supposed to represent, cunts (by virtue of party affiliation) like both Obama did and Trump does.

We need a legit moderate. Both parties are moving further and further to their extremes which is doing none of us any good. We need a leader who can understand multiple points of view, respect them, and then figure out the best way to do things that will help them all. One person will never make everyone happy, but a good place to start, as you say, is to have someone in office who doesn't, by design, try to piss off the other side.
