It’s like the that for me every day. Usually I remember bits and pieces of the past with them but occasionally I’ll remember clearly.

The difference in ten years is shocking. New technology, new scams, and trying to come up with a new idea that sells. TGP and submissions were the main draw and any moron could steal pics and submit and make bank. Then the smart people learned promotion and doing more than submit galleries.

The “I submitted to The Hun and got 20 signups today” threads were common and great to read until “proof!” posts came along. Photoshop! posts followed until a site rep confirmed it. Then past lies would be there. You’d see ten page threads and in the end, no one cared!

Back then porn was easier to sell. With the tubes, you need a new plan to lure in customers. Tubes are TGPs for videos. We old-timers need to think back fifteen years and what sold and how.

Shit, I remember in 1994 the Usenet newsgroups were free. I’d post a few images and forty signups wasn’t unusual. One competitor only and $9.95/month got you pictures only. The internet was being discovered by horny people! 14.4 modems took hours to download porn only to find out your computer froze trying to see it. 56k was the Maserati of speed.
