I had to go to court when an inmate sued me and my business. He ordered my magazine but didn’t get it, he claimed. It had been refused at the prison for sexual content. I had the envelope as proof.
Judge agreed to look at the magazine when I countered that the images weren’t sexual according to some statute. No “pink” or spread-eagle shots made it not illegal or pornographic .
Judge agreed with me but stated this wasn’t the prison on trial. I said it was, that I fulfilled my obligations and the prison disallowed him getting his merchandise, not I. I agreed to resend once but if not received due to their rules, I’d not resend or refund him.
He got it, sent me a note that was nasty and stupid. After that, I never sent to a jail, despite many guys trying to order sneakily, like “123 Main Street, Apt 6983340-221”. I’d call the library, confirm the address was federal prison, hold the money a month and then return it with “nice try, law breaker” note. Fortunately I had a P.O. box and private mailbox so I’d never have a raging inmate after me.
Wow, that brought back memories of court and showing the judge my work. I worried the headline would be, “PORNOGRAPHER PAM PROTESTS PRISON POLICE PROTEST PRURIENT PORNOGRAPHY PAGES” even though it wasn’t porn or the police!
Prisoners are crafty people. I don’t care how much I love a man, nothing will convince me to shove a cellphone up my hoohah. Nor will I shit out a cellphone. Swallowing is fine except for cellphones.
