I actually agree with your last statement, but for different reasons. I have stated many times here that all this will end in nothing, similar to what this author lays out in

but it is the vote that counts. Ditto the fantasies of everyone in Trump's family going to jail. The country is, seemingly, much more aligned against the republicans now than it was in 2016. The point is, does Trump win in 2020. I see that as less likely.
But the question is, is the president hurting himself with his recent behavior?
