Today it’s plastic and tomorrow it’s vinyl. PVC. Rubber. Anything manufactured runs the risk as they continue to research it. Workers at a factory get cancer and they investigate but never quite get the answer. Silkwood with Cher was about a factory causing cancer, right?

I use insulated stainless steel drinking cups and tumblers because they keep drinks hot or cold for six plus hours. But also because plastic can break down and leech out chemicals. Next year they’ll say stainless steel retains germs or something.

It used to be said to eat homegrown veggies and fruit. Now they say it’s bad because the rain is tainted with chemicals. If you boil the water first, the pot used might have iron or plastic parts, thereby affecting the water. If you microwave it, the vessel you use could be toxic.

Our ancestors cooked over fire. Now it’s carcinogenic and deadly. You can’t bathe in the lakes or rivers or oceans as they’re infected with microbes and toxic substances.

Nothing is safe. We’re improving everything but destroying ourselves at the end. Yeah, it’s deep thinking for GFY but it’s the future.
