One of the most catastrophic events in human history was the 2004 Asian tsunami.
In 24 hours more human waste than in all previous history, a lot of it being plastics was dumped in to the oceans.
Those plastics will continue to break down in size until they are digested or evaporated, and its the evaporation that's the real concern, because then, even the rain in Spain.. will have plastics in it.
the scary thing is , no one really knows what the effects of that will be, and its not something we can stop.. its in process now.
