Yes, this is true unfortunately. Back in 2016 when both Baddog and I jointly received our 'Troll of the year' award, we were only able to do it by combining our cash together. Hence the joint award.
Can't speak for Baddog, but that was actually a huge financial strain on my resources. It's what kinda lead to me being so skint over the last year or so...
However, it was all worth it in the end, because although it cost me a small fortune (and I couldn't have done it without Baddog) you can't really put a price on a GFY award...
Its a piece of history to hand down over the generations to your grandkids, but despite the exuberant amount we paid, we didn't even get an actual trophy...
