RIGHT. But how long until the sales caught on and traffic was huge? Mine was a small niche site with unique content, no movies, but I had an international audience from my magazine. If I didn’t have the magazine for promotion, it would’ve taken years to get sales.

I think maybe once or twice I did 100 sales in a week. I switched my focus to videos and dvds and made only 25 sales on a good week. But I’d make 50-75% markup plus a few bucks shipping on each order. Content was stolen then used for a website in a foreign country. Videos and such weren’t copied too often.

$10 video sold for $35 plus $7/UPS. Shipping box cost 35 cents, tape 20 cents per box, labels a nickel each. No bandwidth, no shared logins, no theft and lower processing fees.

And, competition was limited. Once I branched out on my productions, 100 to a store cost me $3 or $4 each and I’d get $15 each. Or, $20/each for 25.

You can compete with and bypass the competition but it takes work and the smarts to do so. I researched the niche accidentally for two years. There are many ways to be on top quickly but lots of work go into it.

Success isn’t simple. I’d bet people ask how you did 100+ sales / week and think they can copy that and succeed. I’m sure you worked your ass off for that.
