No. Poland was a part of Russian Empire because it has lost a war (tell me about any war which was won by polaks ) All Polish wars were lost and the Ukrainian people had humiliated you all the time. The Ukraine has always been a part of Russia and the "outskirts" (literally means the "Ukraine") was always moving to the west out of Moscow.

P.S. Maybe history is not your theme, but I'll tell you a secret. The biggest part of the modern Western Ukraine was annexed from Poland by Stalin. And you know what? The Ukrainians will never return these lands to you ;)))))
