I couldn't disagree more. The United States isn't a "powerful empire falling". In fact, this moment shows our strengths. We have a mechanism in place to remove a bad president.
There is a long list of potential Democratic candidates... A LONG list. Biden, Bloomberg, Sen. Sherrod Brown, Cory Booker, Julian Castro, John Delaney, Kirsten Gillibrand, Kamala Harris, Beto O'Rouke.... Still lots of time.
