They've already funded all but non-essential employees for 2019.. Why didn't they fund it all? Keywod: non-essential.. I think the plan is to keep the closure going for awhile... To get people use to not having those "non-essential" services... And to push those people back into the private sector.. This isn't just Trump or just Republicans or just Democrats... They are in this together... Yet pointing the finger at each other for show.. The private sector needs workers and the government needs to cut spending.. I'm not seeing an end to the fake fight anytime soon. Could be wrong.. But likely not...
Especially after they gaveled in today for 4 minutes and kicked the can down the road until the new year.. Dems think that opens the door for them but it doesn't.. Trump can veto anything he doesn't like and he'll have the Senate to back him up.. It's going to be nothing but a squabble for show for a good while.
