The reason Syria is in turmoil is because the Men of Syria are split into so many tribal sects that oppose each other it was ripe for take over. The start was the revolution against Assad. If you remember the West stayed out because they knew it was a shit hole and only got involved when ISIS sprung up. The Turkey/Kurd fight is a prime example of the way other groups fight each other.
And you want to look after these people in Europe????

you are right but we can not just watch wich sect will win the game. maybe it will be ISIS and we have to deal with them - do you like this idea?
the problem of all this so called "sects" is that they are used either from one or the other side to get on the oil and gas. and every side tells every sect that THEY will participate if....
this turmoil is made form the west.
it was always about oil because there are so many more countries in trouble in the world where no american army fights for the human rights - and all what this countries have in common is, that they do not have oil. no oil - no right to exist.
the one and only 2 things we can do here will need decades if not centuries.
1. try to educate them
2. donīt heat them up more as they are already
3. get rid of the fucking oil, coal and gas and work on alternative and renewable energies.
number 3 would not only weaken the power of oil it would possibly help to keep their countries habitable. and it would (and does) create millions of new jobs worldwide.
but WE will not see the success of this anymore. this is in the hands of the next generations. we can only be the smart generation that started it as long as it isnīt too late.
