My opinion is that if we catch them, we detain them and try to find out who they are. If we can identify them we determine if they are criminals or are likely criminals. If we don't think they are criminals we deport them as soon as possible. If we think they are, we continue to hold them and investigate. As for where we keep them, simple. We can have places where they put adults with no kids. If it is a family with kids we could make detention centers that are similar to motels so each family has a small room to be in while they are being held.
Using kids as pawns in this game is fucking disgusting and it makes me ill to think our government is doing that.
