Tomorrow is going to be an interesting day. The Dems will take power in the House and immediately pass seven budget bills, of which six were already approved by the Senate and the seventh gives over a billion dollars for border security.
If the Senate doesn't pass them Democrats will ask why they were okay with these bills 3 weeks ago and not now. If the Senate passes them, Trump will either have to sign or veto. If he signs, he looks like he caved. If he vetoes, there will be no doubt as to who this shutdown belongs too.
