Any ship in the modern era can be sunk, the only issue with sinking a ship is finding it. In todays world finding a ship is not a challenge so they can all be sunk. There is no longer any hiding them like in WW2 era..
The issue is the consequence of doing so.. that would = a nuclear strike on China..
