In case you haven't noticed, our economy can easily afford to put men on the moon. We just came out of a massive recession, and our economy is doing great. In fact, The United States is planning on putting men on the moon again. In fact, we are putting men on the moon so we can launch manned trips to Mars.

When you say "no meaning to life on Earth" you mean "other than exploring how our solar system and planets were created", right?

China will catch up, and they will take over. US population is 300 million while the population of China is 1.4 billion. Do the math.
Oddly enough no one says "I want to move to China". They all want to come to the United States.
