Kane, I don't need to "make it sound like.." anything. There was no effort to work together by either side. Obama did nothing to work with Republicans on TARP and everything that followed. AIG got bailed out and then it was realized the problem was much bigger and that bailing out anyone wasn't going to change anything. Obama & Co were the ones who created an 1100 page bailout bill at 11pm and then voted on it in the early am. With the House, Senate and White House, he didn't believe he needed to include Republicans in anything and he acted that way. It doesn't matter which 1/2 of the truth you'd like to focus on, the truth is that true division in contemporary politics began with his Presidency. You can point fingers all you want but you absolutely cannot make a fact based argument that he was holding out an olive branch 24/7. The same people giving Trump shit for calling out fake news didn't care when Obama was having reporters surveilled or blacklisting FoxNews (and calling them out constantly) for the same reasons. Everything people hate in Trump was the same thing Republicans were expected to accept under Obama. Kids in cages at the border etc. Then, anyone who disagreed was called "racist" as it it was impossible to have an opinion that didn't obey the Democrat narrative/party line. Today it's the same stupid shit... everyone is suddenly a "nazi" and "white supremacist". You guys hate Trump and look around. Look at the intense and vicious hate and intolerance from the Left on this forum every single day.
