Nobody said there isn't a solid industry here, it's just low key.

What about webcam websites, do the above mentioned apply to cam websites ?

Technically yes.
The laws regarding hosting porn in Australia were debated in the late 90s and thanks to Richard Alston (senator at the time) came into law.
Before the new content laws I hosted all my sites locally. Then switched to the US. Some still on .com.au addresses.
One of my sites was the first site to receive an ACMA takedown notice and it was available as a .com.au in the USA the very next day. Stupid law, nothing changed.
Incidentally this first site was featured on a 4 Corners episode called 'Deliver us from Evil' (about censorship in Australia) which made the point that while you could stop hosting porn in Australia, the laws were pointless because the moment the takedown notice came it was available the next day to all Australians - just hosted overseas.
Fiona Patten (Victorian Upper House Rep now) & Robbie Swann headed the Eros Foundation which represented Australian Adult Industry interests.
