actually i am also against things like "a gay party" or make sexual orientation a political thing. this is exactly what should not happen. sexual orientation should NOT be something what makes someone part of a group or part of another.
image how would that sound to you if someone starts a group "freedom for hetero".
i personally know a few of this LGBT activists and a quite huge number of them have very extreme ideas of freedom.
Some transgender people criticize the fact that they are appropriated by the frequent use of LGBT as a synonym for lesbian-gay (which establishes a non-existent connection), because transgender people can also have a heterosexual orientation.
They therefore want their own name, but do not even agree within the group.
Others fight for the introduction of "queer" toilets.
I think that's what she means by extremism and I can only sign that, because actually it's about NOT being different and then isolating oneself in a group is irrational.
the whole thing somehow reminds of the scene in life of brian where the judaic people front agrees to fight for men to have the right to bear children.
please don't misunderstand me. i have absolutely no prejudices against any sexual orientations. i am only of the opinion that such groups like LGBT are so disagreeable and colourful in themselves that they are neither fish nor meat. the only common feature of this "group" is that they are against classification in groups.
