for a reason that I do not want to explain here I have some personal contacts to some
of the navy seals and special forces who executed some of those known special commands in the middle east.

in my imagination, before i knew them, these people were rambos without spirit or scruples.
when i got to know some of them, i realized that they were the exact opposite and that they were among the dearest and most intelligent people i have ever met.

you can certainly argue about whether they were taught what they believe in from childhood but you can't question that these people think self-critically.

there were also in the NS time people who volunteered for service in the concentration camps to prevent the worst. i think that i saw this also in those people who prefer to do everything rather than kill.

if you live in a country where many people are unjustly persecuted and imprisoned you can do the most as a judge for these people.

we all know that there are no altruistic wars and above all no fair wars. but as much as we know that we will not prevent them and have to stand on some side.

a fireman will not set fires and actually he is even trained to prevent fires. but when it burns he goes to extinguish and does not ask who is to blame for the fire.

so if you put the blame on these people, you're accusing the rope, not the executioner.
