No, because the license for your software says that it's free software.
Or are you saying that your software license isn't worth the paper it's written on and nobody should trust you because you released software under the GPL but want to deny the rights of people who buy your software from the inherent rights included in the software licence?
Did someone force you to release free software under GPLv2, was a gun put to your head?
It's very misleading to license software as GPL and then claim that the rights under that licence do not exist.

I hope any many people as possible see this thread, because it demonstrates that the author of this software never had any intention of honouring the license he has sold the software under.
FWIW, I have already said I am probably not going to release it, so right now this is a theoretical debate. It does demonstrate that the author is untrustworthy as he has released software under a license he does not want people to exercise their rights under.
