I can imagine you can get away with a lot of crap when you are in a small town. I live in a town of 50k people, and I know everyone on the city council by first name. The shady ass shit that goes on that no one knows about.... Oh, they have their city council meetings and these are all open to the public, but 99% of the meetings they have are not open to the public. I've attended some of them. It's insane really.
