Here in Aus 2% of your tax goes to what's called the Medicare levy up to like 200k so the max anyone's pays is 4k a year but from that any insurance you pay is 100% deductible.
Those earning under 21k a year pay nothing.
So everyone has free healthcare, once your earning more than say 75k a year.. you may as well have insurance but it's tax deductible.
I'd expect the USA to adapt more of the Australian system than any other country.
Under the system here, yes everyone has free health care.. but 45% of population have health insurance as well.
So when you see the right-wing fear mongering you.. Don't think lets copy Venezuela or the UK think Australia, even Trump said we have a great system..
