I've been to small claims court once many, many years ago - before I went to college. We (my girlfriend, her friend, and I) had been renting an apartment together and eventually the friend decided to move out and my girlfriend and I decided to get our own place. The girlfriend was (naturally) smoking hot and I took a lot of pictures our last weekend together, mostly of us cleaning up the apartment. The friend was wearing tight pants and a little tank top and no bra so I took A LOT of pictures. This included pictures of her taking down all of the blinds and scrubbing them clean. This was long before we had digital cameras, and all of the photos were time / date stamped. LOL.
Sure enough, the apartment refused to return our deposit. When we asked them why, they said they had to call in a cleaning company to clean our blinds and even provided us with a photocopy of their receipt for payment, which was obviously taken from a receipt book you could buy in any stationary store.
We went to court, we presented the receipt they gave us, then all of the pictures... The judge ruled for us, ordered them to return the deposit plus a small amount for damages.
