This is pretty much exactly correct. Rasmussen is a CONSERVATIVE polling firm. They routinely misjudge about 4% positive for conservative causes, though not always. Even disregarding that, they have Trump down 15 points now. This could change of course but they had him down 7 points when the democrats won the midterms by 7& of the popular vote.
It isn't scientific but it is reasonable to assume that Trump would lose by 13%. Further, a poll where he and most democrat front runners go head to head he is at 40-53%.
None of this is written in stone, but he is not "winning" right now.
