2019 and people are reminiscing about AOL, lmao.
Most BBSers I know who transitioned to real IPs to access Usenet newsgroups and then the web when it happened used to laugh at America Online. The overwhelming majority of AOLers seemed as intelligent as a bag of hammers. It was common knowledge AOLers dumbed down the online population.
But we have to thank AOL for making a free, unlimited supply of great disposable drink coasters for parties.
