1-He did not say 'WE' WERE GOING TO PAY 5+ Billion for it. Mexico was.
2-He did not say he would SHUT THE GOVERNMENT DOWN for it.If #1 were true, no need.
3-He did not say he was GOING TO ROB THE PENTAGON BUDGET for it. If #1 or #2 were true, no need.

This reminds me of the guy who spends more time and effort to avoid doing work than if he would just work.
Now the Dept of Defense will be coming back to congress (who controls spending) and wanting money to replace what Trump raided from their accounts for something the Border Patrol has not been asking for ?
Was that part of the promise ?
BTW... The Border Patrol got nearly everything it has been asking for in this last budget deal.
