it costs me 200$ to pollinate just 1000m2 just for a couple of weeks just one time with natural normal bees...one hive can do this in 7-8 weeks...so just to pollinate tiny shit hole serbia with the cheapest possible natural method would cost 20 billion$ for just one season...the USA is like 100x the size of serbia so 2 trillion $/year would be the cost of pollination provided you could get enough bees, and you can not...
your robot bee thing is a fantasy...you simply can not produce enough and you are decades away from this tech...robot bees will never be a thing because bees are a part of the food chain...it is like saying you will make mechanical plants...
parts of china are already pollinating manually...it is back breaking work and only the more expensive crops get pollinated...this in turn has devastating effects on the food chain because the non commercial plants die away and this topples the jenga tower even more...
