There is no some super-duper secret recipe for it. Course it may differ somehow according to your personal taste, but in general, it's a very simple dish. Just google for
Russian chicken borscht recipe and you'll find a lot of step-by-step instructions. For a first time use the simplest one. After that you may start experimenting with the ingredients. Just make sure you have a sour cream to put a full spoon of it over your hot borscht and pour it with green parsley, coriander (if you like it) and dill. Also we are used to eat it with fresh garlic and rye bread (Eastern Russian way) or with
pampushkas (Western Russian way, since 1991 known as the Ukrainian one). I know that garlic smells very "specific", but it makes borscht even more tasty. If you do it right, a portion should look like this (Eastern way):
