Both parties were following the talking points they were each given respectively.
The Republicans were told to push that Cohen is a bad guy.
The Democrats were told to ask questions that would embarrass Trump.
There were no "tough questions" asked. Because there is nothing "tough" to ask about.
Cohen had already spoken with the Democrat chair of the committee and Schiff and several others ahead of time to set up the questions. Every question asked by a Democrat was a softball question to Cohen that was pre-arranged and that they already know the answer to (since he told them ahead of time AND appeared before them the day before in private hearings).
And the Republicans didn't ask ANY questions. They just talked about how bad Cohen is.
The thing that has struck me since Cohen's offices were raided was: He was arrested over something that has NOTHING to do with Pres. Trump.
And yet...he is trashing Lawyer/Client privilege in a vain attempt to get himself some leniency on his jail sentence.
WTF?!?!?!
Has anyone here EVER heard of a lawyer disclosing private information before? I sure haven't.
So now none of us can trust what we tell our lawyer to remain between us and our lawyer???
THAT is what I am taking away from it. I could care less how much money Trump has or doesn't have.
