Well it depends who you ask. But that's not my question.

I didn't ask anyone. It's according to the Dept. Of Justice.

I didn't say you asked anyone. I said it depends who you ask. If you do a google search for this question you get this:
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-u...-idUSKCN1QF1D3
According to this article, you are right. It says "
The U.S. Justice Department has a decades-old policy that a sitting president cannot be indicted, indicating that criminal charges against Trump would be unlikely, according to legal experts."
But then the article also says : "
COULD MUELLER INDICT TRUMP DESPITE THE EXISTING POLICY?
Possibly. The Justice Department regulations governing Mueller’s appointment allow him to deviate from department policy in “extraordinary circumstances” with the approval of the U.S. attorney general, the nation’s top law enforcement official. Trump appointee William Barr currently holds that post.
Some legal experts have suggested Mueller could invoke this exception if he has uncovered serious wrongdoing and lacked confidence in the ability of the divided Congress to hold Trump accountable. Some lawyers also have said Mueller is not bound by the 1973 and 2000 memos because he is not a typical employee of the department."
There's more so I encourage you to read the whole article. And if you google the question, you find all kinds of opinions on the issue. Suffice to say, it's complicated.
But anyway, again my friend, this is not the question I am asking.
I am asking you : Do you think that Donald Trump should be held responsible if he committed any federal crime? I think Yes, either while he is in office or after he leaves office. What do you think?

LOL! WHAT has he been accused of?
Being an asshole? GUILTY!
Fucking whores? GUILTY!
Being a Russian Spy? LOL!
What else Mark?
This is like asking most Trump haters...What exactly and specifically is it that you think Trump has done wrong?
And there never is an answer. A SPECIFIC answer.
Meanwhile, he is doing EXACTLY what President Obama promised (and NEVER delivered) when he ran for President in 2008.
He is in Vietnam meeting with Kim Jung Un. Something that NOBODY was able to do before.
|
No Robbie, I am only asking you to assume for a moment that he was guilty of something. Here is my full statement.

Trump would have nearly unlimited resources and he would win just about any case thrown at him. So if I were Mueller or any other Mueller-type, I think it would take years of information and evidence gathering to make sure that my case was rock-solid.

I was trying to make the point that prosecuting anyone of a crime like this would have to be done carefully and with a lot of detail in order to win. Besides going after a president, Trump himself is rich and could afford to fight a very long battle.
Can you please just tell me if you think Trump should be held accountable if he's proven guilty in a court of law of breaking any Federal crime? That's all I'm asking.
