I wouldn't put it past Amazon to get rid of prime delivery in the future though, greedy corporations get to the top then service, convenience and quality slide to increase corporate profits to make shareholders happy.

They are having cost issues it's nothing to do with reducing their carbon footprint. I know people who order just one small item every day and get a delivery everyday, it's costing Amazon a fortune and the $100 a year for Prime does not cover the cost of delivery even with the huge discounts they get from the likes of FedEx or UPS.
You will notice that when you place an order it almost always takes a few day before they ship, from what i hear from people i know at Amazon they do this to see if you place a second or third order then they can ship them out together and save on shipping. This has happened more often lately.
