I don't see it as a big deal. The amount may be steep but is a bargain position.
It's more of a voter play that he proposes such a high amount because you know the democrats will want to lower that money and come in line with reality.
So it is just a political play. Probably a smart one if it were anyone else.
I doubt he wins anyone (women) over with his record.(not for votes anyway)
