I would not.... Because if I was allowed to carry into a theater, so would everyone else. I don't want a dozen people carrying firearms around me.
The vast majority of firearm owners are utterly stupid. These are weapons designed to kill people; They are not toys or status symbols. People get them for the wrong reasons. When I hear stories about a three year old kid finding Grandma's handgun in a purse and killing himself or grandma by accident, I am stunned.
If you need a firearm to protect yourself, you need to move to a better place. I am fifty years and not once have I ever needed a handgun to protect myself.
