Three things:
1. He might win with 294 electoral votes, but he is never going to win BY 294.
2. The rip roaring economy didn't do the Republicans any favors in the 2018 midterms.
3. At the end of the article, the guy they quote is correct. If everything plays out as it did in the last election (which would be expected) all the Dems have to do to win in flip about 100,000 votes over three states.
Trump has a serious uphill battle ahead of him and we haven't even seen the Mueller report of the results of the dozen or so other investigations.
He can win, but barring some kind of incredible change in the country between now and then, it will be a very close election.
