They aren't talking about the "attack". They are talking about him mailing himself a threatening letter to the studio filled with white powder. THAT is a federal offense.

I gave MY OPINION of the situation. Nothing more, nothing less.
I'll type it slower for ya (lol): IN MY OPINION he has learned his lesson and I am glad they dropped the charges.
It's a waste of time and money to continue on over something he did that just dumb.
