The EU doesn't need any help. The UK tried to get the EU to take a step back. But major EU politicians have gone on record saying nothing will stop the EU project. Not even giving Europeans a referendum.
Cameron was told not to have the UK referendum. Because he might lose. The EU is scared other countries will follow suit. The EU is slowly swinging to the Right. This isn't a great success story.
