Her relatives were probably in many mixed relationships and the features you spoke of were not carried from generation to generation. Or she was born with mostly her mother’s genes and characteristics so appears white.
As a blonde she’s white. As a brunette she can claim black blood but in a very non-obvious way. Surprising that she identifies as part black but dyes her hair blonde as if hiding her roots.
