That first mindset you described is that of authoritarianism supporter. The second is that of a democracy supporter.
Ask yourself was America created as a Democracy or for Authoritarian rule? So then ask yourself why are these people on the right trying to forcibly overthrow our Democracy?
The simple fact is Republicans have declared war against the United States and our Constitution. They do not support the value that America was founded on, they do not support our Constitution. They support Authoritarian rule.
