I’ve known many gay people and neither men or women were mentally sick.
But if any are, I’d say that the world contributed heavily to their mental health. They are born gay and can’t change. People continually make fun of them, physically harass them, treat them like crap and discriminate against them. They blame HIV on them when straight women and straight men have HIV.
Imagine life as cruel and unaccepting yet you can’t change your brain to make you straight. Imagine going into a gay bar after work for a beer. You sit alone as you wanted just a drink. You leave and are accosted by several men yelling, “you fucking fag” and then beating the crap out of you. The bills, the pain, the bruises and broken nose and broken teeth, all because you chose to have a beer.
Yep, the gay folk are mentally sick but the homophobic attackers are normal. They live to harass people who are different. They post anonymously on forums and gay bash constantly to feel important.
