Trucking was just a side gig for a bit to get my CDL license back and see if I wanted to do it again long term. I ran for a year and a half with a short lease truck. I'm uncertain if I will do it long term as I believe the economy is gonna crash so I don't want to buy a truck then have Trump fuck us.


Freight has been down since the tariffs started last year. No way in hell would I buy a truck to continue with the uncertainty of Trump in office. Example we never know 1 day to the next if he will have a twitter tantrum and decide to shut down the US/Mexican boarder.

I already saw massive drops in freight from the beef/poultry industry because of the tariffs. Trump's uncertainly on his mood swings is also hurting the produce markets because no one knows what to expect and most of that comes across the US/Mexican boarder..

Trump = uncertainty which is bad for future investment in business.. I'm not willing to risk $150k on a guy who acts like a 12 year old and has twitter tantrums every other day. It seems not a lot of others are willing to risk the uncertainty either being the economy is now slipping..

Trump = bad for business.
