Passover honors the Jews who left for Israel (or what is now Israel) but had no flour. For eight days they survived on flour and water crackers or matzoh. This commemorates that time and the will to survive.
Yeshiva was years ago but you get the gist of it.
You can’t eat flour or non-kosher food. We were and seemingly got caught by an old Jewish lady who knew my family. My dad was very religious but mom and I weren’t. The Jewish Gossip Police nailed us publicly but got caught themselves.
